Our teachers
Our teachers teach their first language(s). Who are they? What else do they do at the SKB and what do they like about the project? Here you can get an impression about some of our teachers.
Amelie has been with the SKB since 2023 and teaches German. She particularly enjoys the linguistic and cultural exchange with her course participants. She also appreciates the many opportunities and the right to have a say that the SKB's grassroots democratic structure offers her for her own projects.
Madleen has been at the SKB since 2023 and teaches German. What she likes best is the collaboration with the other members, the various cultural events and the flexibility that the teachers have to organise the lessons.
Clara has been working as a German teacher at SKB since 2024. She loves meeting new people, trying out new things and exploring places in Berlin.
Chris has been working at the SKB since 2018. She teaches German and is involved in various work areas. For her, the SKB is a place of linguistic and cultural diversity. She likes the grassroots democratic structure of the SKB and the fact that you come together with people from all over the world to learn from and with each other.
Since 2023 Angel has been supporting the SKB as a Spanish teacher He not only teaches, but also organises cultural events every semester. Most of all, he loves the people he has met along the way.
Lida has been an SKB member since 2000 and teaches Persian. She is also involved in the SKB programme at the Long Night of Science. Her favourite thing about the SKB is the cultural exchange.
Gabriel has been a member of the SKB since 2018, where he teaches Italian and takes part in other SKB projects. What he particularly likes about the SKB is the diversity and openness of the people, both the participants and the members. He has been able to learn a lot from them and have fun over the years.
Farah has been a Persian teacher at the SKB since 1994. She really enjoys teaching and likes the fact that there are lots of international people, good cultural events and lessons in a pleasant atmosphere.
Rosário has been working at the SKB for more than twenty years. She really enjoys teaching Portuguese, her mother tongue, and meeting many people from different cultures and countries and learning and working with them.
Katja has been at the SKB since 2023 and teaches German. She loves the opportunity to work with people from different cultures. She enjoys teaching the German language and helping others to understand and use it better.
Christine has been at the SKB since the beginning of 2023, teaches German and Romanian and helps with the teaching materials collection. Her favourite thing about the SKB is the collaborative work.
Tai has been working at the SKB since 2016, teaching Italian and Slovenian and coordinating the work of the other members. The best thing about the SKB is working with many different people.
